Lawrence Park Cardiology welcomes Dr. Christopher Lewis to the team. Dr. Lewis is a general internal medicine specialist with specialized training in geriatric medicine.
While born and raised in Toronto, his clinical training includes an internal medicine residency completed with New York University, followed by a geriatric medicine fellowship with the University of Miami. He has experience in both hospital and clinic settings and is now focusing on outpatient care, where he enjoys the bonds he builds with his patients as well as working with his patients to keep them healthy and well.
Dr. Lewis believes that every patient is different and strives to create a treatment plan that tailors to each patient’s unique needs. In internal medicine, his interests include the prevention and management of chronic health conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. In geriatric medicine, his clinical interests include frailty and dementia. Dr. Lewis is dually board certified in internal medicine by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Aside from medicine, like many Canadians Dr. Lewis is both gifted and cursed with being a long-time Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He is also a certified scuba diver and enjoys hiking and traveling when the opportunity arises.
